The Moon and I share a Little Secret

The Moon and I have a special secret,
One that I know will always be well kept.
As with her midnight shine,
She sees through me so fine.

Like the Moon is to the Stars,
My secret is to my heart.

Sharing the same sky,
Feeling the same breeze;
Coldness tries to freeze.

She knows my cries,
She knows my loneliness,
This many times to her I’ve confessed.
To watch over my secret she’s professed,
She knows what values, I deeply posses.

With the same powers that Moon calms the oceans waves,
She soothes my soul.
Pungent, lustrous scent filling my lungs,
Exhilarating is my exhale.

Closing my eyes,
I shut my hunger.
Convinced this will heal me through,
The Moon sees through me so.

Time passes by, stars fade away.
She rises higher,
Over me she knows my longing.

Reaching out to the stars in jealousy,
For they kiss you closely.
My lips wish to be their replacement.

Alas maybe some day,
My jealousy will fade away.
For I will no longer hunger for the moment,
To be by your side and forever there stay.

The Moon and I share a Secret,
One that I know will always be well kept.
She knows my love is pure,
And shall remain for ever and a day.
